Turkey violates Greek airspace 42 times in a single day

Turkey’s delinquent behaviour against Greece in the Aegean continues with undiminished intensity.

On Friday, 13 Turkish aircrafts flew over the Greeks, committing 42 violations of Greece’s national airspace.

Of the 13 aircraft, 10 were F-16 fighters, two CN-235 spy planes and an unmanned UAV.

The 30 violations were committed by CN-235, one by the UAV and 11 by the F-16 fighters.

In two cases of the violations developed into dog fights with Greek fighter jets that were on alert.

The violating planes – two of which were armed – moved to the Northeast, Central and Southeast Aegean.

According to a Greek military statement, the violating aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules.
