Crete is counting another victim of COVID-19 after a 74-year-old unvaccinated priest died due to complications from the virus.
According to Creta Post, the 74-year-old had been fighting an unequal battle for about 14 days, however his health condition deteriorated rapidly.
He died in the Intensive Care Unit of Chania Hospital on Friday morning.
Local media reported that the unfortunate priest was unvaccinated.
It is worth noting that in the hospital of Chania, two children are still hospitalised with COVID-19.
In the same hospital, there are 28 people with COVID-19 and four intubated in the ICU.
