Terrible but true, the helmet from the junction at the entrance of Sparta was stolen on Tuesday night at around 10pm local time.
According to Sparta News, the mayor of the city Petros Doukas and the deputy mayor Thanasis Karlaftis spoke to the police at around 11pm.
Doukas was obviously saddened by the incident since the helmet was set up at the entrance of the city on his own initiative.
He denounced the perpetrators, saying that whoever has important information, he will award €1000 himself.
Note that two days ago, Sparta News had created a video for the decoration of the city that contained the helmet.
Police are still conducting investigations on audiovisual material from the surrounding area that could help.
