Greek tennis star Maria Sakkari left Greece on a flight for Australia yesterday, together with Tom Hill and Giannis Stergiou reports TennisNews.Gr.
Sakkari informed her fans of her trip through her social media account on Instagram where she is pictured in-flight with her coaches Tom Hill and Giannis Stergiou.
Sakkari's season will kick off in the Australian city of Adelaide for the WTA 500 Tournament that will take place there in the first week of the new year (January 3-9). A total of 8 players from the Top 10 will compete there, including the top three, Ashleigh Barty, Aryna Sabalenka and Garbine Muguruza.
According to the report, if she gets far in this tournament and is happy with her matches she will probably play again at the Australian Open (January 17-30). Otherwise, she will compete in the second week of the season (January 10-16), at the Sydney WTA 500s, where 8 Top 10 players will also participate.
