Rúben Semedo was arrested for domestic violence after a complaint was made by a 28-year-old Portuguese woman, who claims that the Olympiacos player hit her during an argument on Monday night.
According to Proto Thema, the incident happened on Monday night in Glyfada , where the footballer lives.
Semedo’s compatriot called emergency services at 10:30 pm and said that her ex-partner hit her during an argument, and then took her cell phone and threw her out of the house.
She claimed that the couple had started fighting at 10:30 pm in the evening.
Police arrived at the scene and found the 28-year-old woman waiting for them outside the house.
Semedo was then taken to the Alimos Security Department.
His 28-year-old partner was also transferred there and the footballer tried to persuade her to reconstruct what she had said.
However, the proceedings were initiated regardless and Semedo was charged.
At 1:00 am he was released to appear in court at a later date.
