Turkey violates Greek airspace 37 times on Epiphany

Even on the day of the Epiphany, Turkey continued its provocative actions against Greece, despite the supposed Confidence Building Measures of the two countries to respect and avoid military action on major national and religious holidays.

With the prime minister in Ai Strati and then in Lemnos, where he visited the airbase, Turkey committed 37 violations - 35 times with CN 235 and two times with F-16 fighter jets.

The violations took place in Greek airspace over the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean.

The aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules and established practice.
