"This is the next generation of aircraft, for a future vision of European Defence, and a new chapter in Greece’s regional capability. Thanks to my friend Emmanuel Macron for helping me strengthen our strategic partnership."

Greece added 6 new Rafale fighters to its original order placed on 25 January 2021 for 18 Rafale which included 12 Rafale recently in service with the French Airforce and 6 new Rafale produced at Dassault Aviation plant in France, bringing the total to 24 jets.

Greece was the first European country to buy the combat jets made by Dassault Aviation.
