"He is innocent, everything is a lie and I believe him," says wife of priest accused of raping a minor

Despite the serious accusations faced by the 37-year-old priest, who allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl in Kato Patisia, his wife declared her irrevocable support for her husband and his innocent, but did not hesitate to accuse the 17-year-olds family of conspiracies.

The woman in an interview on MEGA categorically denied the allegations, presenting an argument of personal difference between the priest's family and the family of the girl.

In other words, she spoke of a hostile attitude towards them because the 17-year-old's aunt was insulted by the accused priest's wife, as he found her a job, but she became pregnant and was forced to leave her job.

"They thought that I insulted them by getting a job and she put me in the job and that I got pregnant and insulted her by leaving," the accused priests wife said.

"Her aunt put me to work and after a while I got pregnant and had to leave. I told her, 'my Maria, I got pregnant to be happy' and she told me that it should not be done during this time that she put me to work because she was exposed", she continued.

She added that, at the time when the 17-year-old complains that her husband raped her, the church was not operating due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

When asked about the allegations that underage girls were entering the priest's house, she replied embarrassed: “Girls in our house? No, these are lies."

Despite the accusations, the priest's wife is convinced that he has done nothing wrong and that he is innocent.

"I am 100% sure and I will say it until the end," she stressed.

According to Proto Thema, the priest initially asked for nude photos of the child when she was 15-years-old.

He himself bombarded her with pornographic material, including photos of his genitals.
