Things you may not know about Thanasi Kokkinakis

Thanasi Kokkinakis is a Greek-Australian professional tennis player. He was rated as high as world No. 69 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he first achieved in June 2015. Currently, at the Australian Open, he is ranked 110, which is likely to change due to being the sole Australian left in the men’s draw and will remain in the top 100 after his quarterfinal berth.

Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios have booked their spot in the Australian Open 2023 men's doubles and have a great chance of taking it out.

He has one ATP Tour victory in doubles and reached the third round of the 2015 French Open, where he had his best Grand Slam singles result.

However, he could not compete on the professional circuit for the next two years due to severe injuries, although he returned in 2021.

Thanasi Kokkinakis Net Worth Revealed

Kokkinakis's tennis earnings up to now total 1.6 Million dollars.

However, there is currently no definitive evidence or information regarding his wealth. However, we may safely assume that he has a fortune in the millions and that his professional career is his primary source of income.

Even though his exact profits are unknown, Thanasi has won several titles and been in numerous finals, so we may assume he has amassed a sizable fortune.

Last year after winning against Korea's Kwon Soon-woo, Kokkinakis admitted to hitting the court without a sponsor.

When asked about his outfit by reporters, he said: “Mate, Kmart special. I went to Chadstone, bought some $6 tees and went to work. I just felt comfortable in it.”

“I’ve tried to order more online, but they got cancelled; they didn’t make it to South Yarra”.

Tech company, Safety Culture Group, came to the rescue and is his current sponsor.

Kokkinakis was thrilled at the announcement.

“To be backed by an Australian brand who’s helping events like the Open run smoothly is a perfect match,” he wrote on Instagram.
