Fire contained on migrant camp on Lesvos

A fire broke out shortly after 7.30 this Friday afternoon in the migrant camp of Kara Tepe on the Greek Island of Lesvos

The fire was extinguished in a large tent that had been “partitioned” for the accommodation of 40 asylum seekers. According to local news sources, the fire was due to a short circuit of an electrical board.
