Ambassador Marinopoulos: Greece has significant export opportunities in the Hungarian market

Greece has significant export opportunities in the Hungarian market in the field of industrial and pharmaceutical products, as well as in the agri-food sector.

In addition, Greece is the second preferred tourist destination for Hungarian citizens, according to speakers at an online event entitled "Discover Hungary", organised by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Enterprise Greece, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), and the Greek Exporters Association (SEVE).

The event was held with the support of the Embassy of Greece in Hungary and the Embassy of Hungary in Greece and under the auspices of the Hungarian National Trade Organisation (HEPA) and the Hungarian Export-Import Promotion Bank EximBank.

Greek-Hungarian bilateral relations were outlined by the Greek Ambassador to Hungary, Efthymios Pantzopoulos, and the Hungarian Ambassador to Greece, Erik Edgar Haupt.

The commercial and financial attaché at the Greek Embassy in Hungary, Doukas Marinopoulos, referred to the business and investment opportunities presented by the Hungarian market for Greek businessmen and stressed that there are opportunities for further development of export trade by Greek companies.

The industrial and pharmaceutical products sector, as well as the agri-food sector, present significant growth prospects.

He also mentioned that Greece is the second preferred tourist destination for Hungarian citizens.

The Hungarian government has introduced a new residency permit for digital nomads called the White Card, which allows internationals to live in Hungary while working for a company outside this country.

According to the announcement of Hungary’s government, the new residence permit is limited to a maximum period of one year; however, it can be extended once for one additional year, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
