Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stressed that the memorandum signed between Libya and Turkey is illegal, null and of no value, reaffirming Athens’s constructive position regarding the stability of Libya.
This came during Dendias’ meeting with the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Libya Stephanie Williams in the Italian capital, Rome, where she briefed him on the latest developments in Libya.
Williams thanked Dendias for his offer to support the work of the United Nations in Libya, according to the advisor’s official Twitter account.
Williams met on Monday with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, and they discussed the importance of local and international consensus in supporting a comprehensive political process in Libya.
Williams described her meeting with Di Maio as fruitful, praising Rome’s support for the mediation efforts carried out by the UN mission in Libya.
