Happy Birthday to Hollywood’s sweetheart Jennifer Aniston who was born on February 11, 1969, in California, to Greek actor John Aniston and English actress Nancy Dow.
Jennifer spent a year of her childhood living in Greece with her family, mainly in Athens and Crete, which is where her family is from. They then relocated to New York City, where Jennifer’s father landed his role of “Victor Kiriakis”, on the daytime soap “Days of Our Lives” and her Godfather was Greek American actor Telly Savalas.
Aniston has on numerous occasions credited her amazing and flawless appearance on her Greek background. “My dad is 100 per cent Greek; he turned 85 and he barely has a wrinkle. And neither did my grandmother, who was 95 when she died,” she says.
Jennifer had her first taste of acting at age 11 when she joined a drama club and developed a passion for the arts. She began her professional training as a drama student at New York’s School of Performing Arts, “Fame” school.
After many Broadway, television and film appearances, in 1994, a pilot called “Friends Like These” came along. Originally asked to audition for the role of “Monica”, Aniston refused and auditioned for the role of “Rachel Green”, the suburban princess turned coffee peddler. With the worldwide success of Friends, Jennifer became a household name in Hollywood and famous around the globe.
Since then Jennifer has concentrated on films and is now known as a leading film actress, with hits including Horrible Boss, Bruce Almighty, Marley & Me and The Break-Up.
Jenniffer is filming the finishing touches to her Murder Mystery with costar Adam Sandler in Hawaii.
