Tarkan's song predicts the end of Erdoğan and receives the wrath of the AKP

Erdogan Tarkan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his followers are the latest a target of the popular singer Tarkan in his latest hit song "It will pass," which has gone viral and has already been viewed more than 18 million times.

Although the artist claims that it was written about COVID-19, supporters of the ruling party consider that he "photographs" the Turkish president, weaving typical conspiracy scenarios.

They also claim that behind the lyrics are hidden foreign forces that want to "overthrow" Erdoğan.

"You overdid it, we're really bored of you," Tarkan said in his song, provoking the anger of the AKP supporters.

"You did not stop for a minute. Enough is enough, we are drowning," the lyrics continue.

Officials in the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) fear that the success of the song could be used by Erdoğan's opponents in the 2023 presidential election.

If one considers that in the next elections in Turkey that there will be five million first time voters, most of them fanatical fans of Tarkan and his songs, then one realises the "headache" that the song creates for Erdoğan and his staff.

The lyrics of the song:

"It will pass, it will pass too. You will see that hope comes.

Oh how nice then we will dance with our hearts solemnly.

Those days are so close, he will leave as he came!

Everything ends one day and this suffering will end.

Oh how nice then we will dance with our hearts solemnly.

Those days are so close.

You overdid it, we're really bored of you.

You did not stop for a minute.

Enough is enough, we are drowning.

Paterouli left our neck.

We were patient, we said that something good might come out, we came to many conclusions.

But it is enough now! We got it.

Paterouli, get off our necks!

It will pass, it will pass too.

You will see that hope comes.

Oh how nice then we will dance with our hearts solemnly.

Those days are so close, he will leave as he came!

Everything ends one day and this suffering will end.

Oh, how nice then we will dance with our hearts solemnly."
