An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale shook Samos, according to measurements by the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
The vibration had a focal depth of 12.3 km and a epicentre located 11 km northeast of Samos.
No injuries or damage were reported.
Seismologists are closely monitoring the evolution of the phenomenon, which appears reassuring.
The initial estimate of the seismic vibration was at 3.2 Richter, however the Geodynamics revised upwards.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute recorded the shake at 3.8 Richter.
