Given the security situation prevailing in the greater Odessa area, the competent Consulate General suggested and received permission to carry out an evacuation operation from the area of Greek citizens, as well as members of their families.
Operation "Nostos 2" took place today and 26 people were evacuated, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They were accompanied by the Consul General in Odessa, Dimitris Dohtsis.
According to the ministry, the 26 arrived in Moldova, where they were welcomed by the Ambassador of Greece to Romania, Sofia Grammata.
It is noted that the Consulate General in Odessa continues to operate, with the Consul General returning to his headquarters.
