Greece became the latest nation to scraps many of its regulations this months and other countries are starting to lift rules, such as mandatory mask wearing and Covid passports. However, many destinations still have regulations in place that are likely to impact on tourists.
Travellers need to be able to provide one of the following:
Arrivals in Greece may be required to take a rapid Covid test, and self-isolate if the result is positive.
Most passengers regardless of vaccination status are required to show a negative Covid test result taken no more than one day before boarding a flight to the USA. Fully-vaccinated travellers are recommended to take a test within three to five days of arrival in the US but do not have to quarantine.
Unvaccinated holidaymakers are not able to enter the USA. Children 17 and under who are not fully vaccinated are exempt from the quarantine requirement after arrival but must take a test three to five days after arrival and should self-isolate should any symptoms develop or if they test positive.
Children under two-years-old do not need to take a test. Masks must be worn on all flights to the USA. Exemptions remain for travellers under the age of two, and for those with certain disabilities.
