14-year-old girl kidnapped in Thessaloniki was found in Athens – Pakistani man arrested

A 14-year-old who had disappeared from Thessaloniki on March 10 was found in the Athens neighbourhood of Egaleo.

According to Directus, a 32-year-old man from Pakistan has been arrested in connection with the case.

She was found by the Egaleo Security Department in a random car stop.

The 32-year-old Pakistani was with the minor, who had been reported missing by her parents on March 10 at the White Tower Security Department.

The Pakistani was taken to the Egaleo police station and a case was filed against him for kidnapping a minor.

Police informed the mother of the 14-year-old about the location of her daughter, with her requesting the criminal prosecution of the 32-year-old.

She stated that she was unable to travel the 500 kilometres to Athens to pick her up.

By prosecutorial order, the temporary supervision of the minor girl was given to the “Child’s Smile” agency.

The 14-year-old underwent preventive medical examinations at the “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital, while the 32-year-old was taken to the Athens Prosecutor’s Office.
