The Manisa Celal Bayar University has created controversy by quoting the German dictator and Holocaust architect Adolf Hitler on its website.
The quotation said:
“Where the mind ends and remains silent, violence makes the final decision.”
The website belongs to the university’s Research Centre for Enhancing Human Rights and Combatting Violence, according to Duvar.
The quotation was removed after reactions on social media and other platforms.
No official statement has yet been made by the university’s administration.
Other references on the website include names such as Muhammad, the founder of Islam; Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, perpetrator of the Greek, Armenian and Assyrian genocide; and, Mahatma Gandhi, who led a nonviolent resistance to campaign for India's independence from British rule
