By 2 years ago

In what must be both the dumbest and most audacious attempt at 'owning' a word, Greek City Times can reveal that Meghan Markle has filed to trademark the Greek word "Archetypes".

We can reveal that the application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office was filed on 26 March 2022 in the following Classes:  US 021 023 026 036 038, 041,  100 101 107 with the following description of the areas of concern.

"Downloadable audio recordings and podcasts, all in the fields of cultural treatment of women and stereotypes facing women; downloadable audiovisual recordings, downloadable recorded webcasts, downloadable video podcasts, and downloadable television programs, all in the fields of cultural treatment of women and stereotypes facing women; prerecorded DVDs featuring video recordings, namely, audiovisual recordings, recorded webcasts, recorded video podcasts, and television programs, all in the fields of cultural treatment of women and stereotypes facing women; prerecorded CDs and MP3 recordings all featuring audio recordings and podcasts, all in the fields of cultural treatment of women and stereotypes facing women."

The application was made on behalf of Delaware registered Archewell Audio LLC LIMITED LIABILITY, the company owned by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

If the trademark is approved, it would mean that every other human being or company would be banned from using the word.
