Turkish police officers paraglide into Greece seeking asylum

Two Turkish nationals, claiming to be police officers, illegally entered Greece on paragliders hoping to seek asylum, according to Greek media reports.

According to information from media site evima.gr, Greek authorities have rushed to the coastal town of Karisto, on the island of Evia, where the two paragliders crash landed, after they claimed to be police officers in their home country.

Further details from the incident have revealed that both men are seeking asylum in Greece.

In the meantime, both men were rushed to the local hospital for preliminary assessment and medical examinations.
