The visiting Greek Presidential Guard had the honourable duty of escorting the Holy Epitaph and procession on Good Friday at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Anargiri in Oakleigh, Melbourne in the presence of His Eminence Archbishop of Australia Makarios and other dignitaries.

The Evzones struck an imposing figure as they escorted the Holy Epitaph and later guard it in the Church, adding further poignancy to the religious sentiment of the evening as hundreds of Orthodox faithful congregated for what is the first 'normal' Easter since the pandemic disrupted our  secular and religious calendar.
