Greek singer Andromache will represent Cyprus in the up-coming Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place at PalaOlimpico in Turin.
Andromache Dimitropoulou, simply known as Andromache, was born in 1994 in Siegen, Germany.
She rose to fame in 2015, when she participated in the Greek version of The Voice. Even she was eliminated in the second live show, she immediately became a huge star in Greece. Among her singles, the most successful ones are “Na Soun Psema” and “To Feggari”.
In March 2022, she was revealed as Cyprus’ Eurovision 2022 representative after being internally selected by CyBC. She will sing “Ela”, a song composed by Alex P, Arash, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Fatjon Miftaraj, Filloreta Raci Fifi, Geraldo Sandell, Giorgos Papadopoulos, Robert Uhlmann, Viktor Svensson and Yll Limani.
Andromache is signed to Panik Records, whose roster includes former Eurovision predecessors such as Ivi Adamou, Demy, Eleni Foureira and Anna Vissi and Elena Tsagrinou.
Andromache performs in slot number 9 in the running order of 18.
Cyprus competes in the Eurovision Second Semi-Final which airs on Thursday 12th May on BBC Three. The Top 10 qualifying countries will advance to the Final on Saturday 14th May, on BBC One.
