Turkey: "Mitsotakis goes to the US to exclude us from the F-16", says analyst

Erdoğan Karakuş Turkey

After claiming that "Greece is the number one threat to Turkey," analyst and retired lieutenant colonel Erdoğan Karakuş, struck again by provocatively claiming that "[Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos] Mitsotakis is going to the US to exclude Turkey from F-16's."

Speaking to pro-government CNN Türk, Karakuş reiterated that the first threat to Turkey is Greece and that Mitsotakis' visit to Washington is essentially directed against Turkey.

"The first threat against us is Greece. I repeat, the first threat against us is Greece (…) At the moment, Greece is working unbelievably non-stop to exclude Turkey even from the purchase of these F-16s," he said.

"That is why Mitsotakis is going to America. He will meet with Biden and address the House of Representatives.

"He will speak in both the Congress and the House of Representatives, while I do not know he can speak separately in the Senate (…)

"But why is Mitsotakis invited? Does America really need him now?"

Recently on the same television network, Karakuş had claimed that: "The number one threat to Turkey is Greece because their interests are in conflict.

"See in the Eastern Mediterranean the interests are in conflict, see they do not want to accept our continental shelf."

He had previously claimed that the names "Aegean" and "Agamemnon" are "proto-Turkish", while he had "analysed" the way Turkey invaded Greek Thrace, in case of war with Greece.
