Academy Award winner Emma Stone in Athens for Lanthimos movie premiere

Academy Award winner Emma Stone has arrived in Athens to attend the premiere of the short film "Bleat" by Yorgos Lanthimos on May 6 at the Greek National Opera Stavros Niarchos Hall.

Stone plays the lead in the black and white Lanthimos creation,  about a woman named Belle Baxter, who drowns herself and has her brain replaced with that of her unborn child by her father.

The work was commissioned by the Greek National Opera (GNO) and NEON, and will feature music by Bach, Knut Nystedt, and Toshio Hosokawa as performed by the “Maria Callas” quartet, the Chorus of the Hellenic Broadcasting company, Wu Wei, and Angelina Tkatcheva.

Set design is by Anna Georgiadou with Angelos Mentis as costume designer. The director of photography is Thodoros Mihopoulos and choreography is by Christos Papadopoulos. The film was edited by Yorgos Mavropsaridis.
