While Giannis Antetokounmpo is on his way to claiming a second consecutive NBA championship, the movie about his family's life is ready to be released in cinema.
The trailer for the movie Rise was released today and the movie will be released on June 24.
The production travels from the childhood of all Antetokounmpo in the Athens neighbourhood of Sepolia to its great course in the NBA, culminating in winning last year's championship against Phoenix.
The film, also shot in Greece, tells the story of Giannis Antetokounmpo, with an emphasis on his childhood in Nigeria, his family's trip to Greece and the dream come true for not only him in the NBA, but also his brothers Thanasis and Kostas.
Rise' is a DisneyPlus film based on the real life experiences of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis and his family.
It is worth seeing the performances of the actors embodying Giannis, Thanasis, Kosta, Alex, Veronica and Charles Antitokoumbo. "Greek Freak" will be played in the play by Uche Aganda.
"Rise" is being directed by Akin Omotoso (Vaya), with Bernie Goldmann producing and Giannis Antetokounmpo executive producing.
Giannis is played by actor Uche Agada alongside his real-life brother, Ral Agada, playing Thanasis.
The film will be released on June 24, a few days after the NBA Finals, where the Greek Freak will do everything for another season triumph after last year's heroics and his maiden ring in the top league in the world.
