Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was interviewed on the American TV network MSNBC ahead of his meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House.

During his interview with Mika Brzezinski on the Morning Joe programme, the Greek Prime Minister was asked what was his message to America ahead of his anticipated speech to Congress.

"That Greece is back!" responded Mitsotakis, referencing the financial crisis which hurt Greece and the Greek people and had kept the country out of the markets for a few years.

The Greek Premier also referenced the two year pandemic which he claims Greece handled probably better than most European countries, adding that Greece is back on track as an attractive investment destination with many American companies already committing to investing.

Mitsotakis noted also the record number of direct flights from the US to Greece and the high tourism numbers.

When asked about Turkey's reluctance to accept Sweden and Finland into the NATO family Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured the panelists that any objections Turkey might have will probably be overcome and that ultimately both those countries will have their membership applications accepted.
