The Hellenic Lyceum of Sydney held its annual Mother’s Day luncheon in support of Westmead Children's Hospital last Tuesday, May 17 at the Australian Golf Club.
The event paid tribute to successful women of Greek heritage and also to historic figures such as Sophia Vembo and Dedo Sotiriou.
With more than 150 people in attendance, guests included the Consul General of Greece in Sydney Christos Karras, Greek Trade Commissioner Katia Gkikiza and guest speaker producer Electra Manikakis. Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon was Mrs Maritsa Micos Dragonas.
The event organisers expressed their thanks to Margaret Micos on piano, the singer, Despina Lucas, Sophia Sotiropoulos for the flower arrangements and Lynne Evagelakos for the Greek Souvenirs.
A special mention to Bowerhaus for their generosity of gifting jewellery to each of the guests.
