“[Prime Minister Kyriakos] Mitsotakis’ policy will be defeated in the next elections,” SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance spokesperson Nassos Iliopoulos said on SKAI TV on Monday.
He claimed that the most crucial poll is that this moment the majority of the people does not have enough money and unfortunately this situation does not seem to change soon, added Iliopoulos whilst quoting the IMF’s recent estimates that high inflation is not a temporary phenomenon.
“The government continues to follow a policy which not only does not address the problems, but it multiplies them” referring to the example of the skyrocketing in the fuel prices and the government’s refusal to reduce the special tax on fuel,” the spokesperson said.
Referring to the foreign policy, Ilioupoulos spoke of a “scared prime minister” noting that the Turkish fighter jets flew 2.5 miles away from Alexandroupolis, adding that “Kyriakos Mitsotakis has not claimed any kind of sanctions against Turkey.”
