Turkish media: "Agathonisi, Farmakonisi and other Greek islands are ours"

Turkish media continue provocative propaganda about the Greek islands, which they claim are actually Turkish despite widespread condemnation from the international community.

Erdoğan Karakuş, a retired Vice Admiral, said that Agathonisi, Farmakonisi, Pserimos, Kinaros and some other Greek islands belong to Turkey and that there is "no doubt" about that.

"Agathonisi is ours, Arkoi is ours, Farmakonisi is ours. Pserimos is ours. Levitha is ours. Kinaros is ours. The islets of Liadi are ours. Syrna is ours, the three islands are ours. Astakida is ours. Oinousses belongs to us. Thymaina to us and the islet of Gavatha to us. These are ours and are determined by the circumstances. There is no doubt who they belong to," he said.

Meanwhile, according to military analyst Abdullah Ağar, Greece with its Rafale fighters and Belharra frigates will have the upper hand in the Aegean.

"Greece, with its armaments program, will have great power both at sea and in the air," he said.

"Greece took the Rafale, Mitsotakis went and complained about Turkey so as not to give the F-16s but Greece will take the F-35, they will equip the Rafale with Meteor missiles and with their radars they will gain supremacy. They also buy the Belharra frigates," he said as broadcasted by SKAI.

"The total cost exceeds 10 billion dollars, and the submarines have Type 214. With these, they will gain supremacy in the Aegean and in the ethers," he added.
