Stelios Dionisiou, Thanasis Polukandriotis, Penny Pavlakis and tour members from the Greek Legends Concert that is touring Australia with the final performance this Saturday 11 June in Melbourne, were spotted in the Sydney suburb of Leichhardt (aka Little Italy) over the weekend having dinner at local Greek taverna Georgia's Koutouki.
Soon enough, Stelios and his gang broke out into Greek songs and started entertaining the entire taverna as patrons were left pleasantly surprised with the impromptu performance by some of the best names in Greek music.
Greek singing sensation Stelios Dionisiou will take the stage this Saturday in Melbourne for the much anticipated Greek Legends concert tour, accompanied by the greatest living bouzouki player, Thanasis Polykandriotis, the vocal magic of Penny Pavlakis, and 30 musicians, singers and dancers.
The repetoire will include some of the greatest hits from legends like Stelios Kazantzidis, Dimitris Mitropanos, Tolis Voskopoulos and more whilst also paying tribute to the one and only, cool guy, Stratos Dionisiou with his son Stelios Dionisiou performing many of his songs, such as “Βρέχει φωτιά στη στράτα μου” all of which have remained engraved in the musical memory of every Greek that either dared the dance floor with a zembekiko or cheered someone on it!
Giant entertainment has confirmed they have issued more tickets for the Greek Legends Australian concert as demand grows from both young and older generations nostalgic for the songs of Stelios Kazantzidis, Stratos Dionisiou, Dimitris Mitropanos, Tolis Voskopoulos and more.
