Popular actress Berna Laçin was targeted by pro-government media and supporters of Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan for posting her love and friendship for Greece and the Greeks on social media.
"I love Greece very much, I also love my Greek neighbours. Without these politicians, we would have gone to Greece like roses," Laçin commented on social media.
As a result she became the target of those who embrace the extreme rhetoric of Erdoğan against Greece.

Reactions to Laçin's comment are strong with most of the comments being critical, due to the climate that has developed in Turkey. The popular actress was also targeted by the pro-government media.
TRHaber commented: "Actress Berna Lassin, overflows with love for Greece, which is laying down arms against our country and claiming rights on our islands."
Yeni Safak is on the same wavelength: "Berna Lassin praises Greece, which threatens Turkey at every opportunity."
Laçin is an actress and TV presenter. She is a graduate of the Istanbul State Conservatory and holds a degree in theater studies.
She has appeared in various TV series, including Aşk Ekmek Hayaller, Belalı Baldız and Seni Yaşatacağım.
