The white tower in Thessaloniki is lit as a rainbow to celebrate pride festival

The White Tower (Λευκός Πύργος) was lit up in the colours of Pride to celebrate the end of the  Thessaloniki  Pride Festival.

According to GRTimes, the White Tower was the first building in Greece to be illuminated with rainbow colours well over ten years ago.

The parade (Thessaloniki Pride) ended at about 21:00 at the walls of the tower, after which a concert was held with the main act being singer Katerina Stikoudi.

However, earlier episodes of assault were taped by various media outlets as tensions escalated when a few minors attacked parades and participants and burned colourful LGBTQ flags.

Police arrived at the scene, the troublemakers were detained. According to information Voria.

The authorities prosecuted a 14-year-old teenager who will appear on a later date in front of a judge.
