There they were hidden in hotels or apartments and then transported by boat to Attica. They then organised their transport to other European countries

The leader of the gang, in order to hide his activities, often moved between Mykonos, where he lived, and Samos, Ikaria and Attica.

The gang recently transported 33 illegal immigrants and also had links to people in the UK, which is also being investigated by British authorities.
