Nick Kyrgios’ older brother Christos Kyrgios has welcomed his first child with his longtime girlfriend Alicia Gowans.
Christos shared the happy news on his Instagram page on Wednesday alongside photos and video footage of the birth.
‘Welcome George Onyx Kyrgios. Everyone [is] doing great and I can confirm he has so much more hair than me,’ Christos joked online.
Christos, who works as a fitness coach, shared precious photos of the newborn wrapped in a blanket, as well as one of himself cradling his bundle of joy.
In a joint Instagram post also shared on Wednesday, the couple described their son as being ‘better than perfect’ alongside candid photos of the birth.
‘2.98kgs of pure deliciousness!! It’s with the greatest pleasure that I get to introduce our precious little rainbow buddy… George,’ Alicia, who works as a sports nutritionist and is a world champion bodybuilder, wrote online.
‘What an honour it is to be your mama little man. You are already so incredibly loved and welcomed.
‘Lord knows, we waited a long time for you. But our prayers were answered, you are better than perfect…and for that we are so grateful.’
The couple revealed the baby’s gender in an Instagram post in February, with Christos seen hitting open a piñata in the shape of a question mark.
This is not Alicia’s first child. The blonde beauty is already a mother to daughter Calla from a previous relationship.
At the time, Nick made headlines during his first game of the Australian Open, after bizarrely ordering his brother’s girlfriend Alicia ‘out of his box’ mid-match on live TV.
After gaining a touch of fame amid the drama, Christos agreed to be interviewed on Dave Hughes’ 2Day FM breakfast show for a hefty price.
The radio show claimed that they’d offered Christos $1000 to discuss the drama involving his girlfriend, but said he came back with a counter offer of a whopping $20,000.
After being called out by Dave and his co-stars, Christos made the extraordinary claim to Daily Mail Australia that ‘they got it wrong’ and it was ‘actually $200,000, thanks’.
