The Clumsies Cocktail Bar Pops Up at Avli on the Park

The Clumsies, a cocktail bar in Athens, Greece is heading to Chicago and popping up at the contemporary Greek restaurant, Avli on The Park on Friday, July 29 at 7 p.m. for a rooftop cocktail party.

The Clumsies Co-Founder Nikos Bakoulis will be behind the bar pouring inventive cocktail flights while guests sip and enjoy a DJ and a tapas station by Executive Chef Nikos Kapernaros atop the rooftop.

The cocktail flight includes:

  • Aegean Negroni: London Dry Gin, Ambrato Vermouth, Campari, Fennel Seeds, Diktamus
  • Mediterranean Gimlet: London Dry Gin, Greek Salad Cordial
  • Popeye & Olive: Vodka, Mint, Spinach, Green Apple, Green Olive

The is the bar’s signature drink thanks to its use of the finest products and blue colour that conjures the Aegean sea. Aegean Negroni includes the bar’s own spiced drink, white vermouth, Martini bitters, Martini Ambrato and fennel seeds and flagrant dittany, a Cretan herb.

Created at the Clumsies, a bar in a run-down neoclassical building that was brought to life by Nikos Bakoulis and Vasilis Kyritsis during the debt crisis.
