Investigation into death of man turned away by Agios Andreas hospital in Patras

Health Minister Thanos Plevris has ordered a preliminary investigation into the death of a 49-year-old man, who died shortly after he was turned away by the "Agios Andreas" hospital in Patras.
According to the family, the 49-year-old went to the hospital on Wednesday night complaining of severe back pain.

He was advised to visit the Patras university hospital, which was on emergency duty that night, to get the necessary tests done. The man died soon afterwards.


An emergency meeting is taking place at the Agios Andreas hospital with all those that were on duty that night at the hospital
