A tourist has been saved by the Greek coast guard authorities after surviving 18 hours adrift at sea reported the Daily Mail.

According to the media outlet, the holidaymaker known only as Ivan found himself pushed by powerful currents out at sea but miraculously survived by clinging to a small ball lost by two boys on a beach 80 miles away, ten days earlier.

The 'miracle ball' was lost by brothers Tryphon, 11, and Thanos, 6,  on Evgatis beach on the Greek island of Lemnos on June 30 when it was swept away by tides.

Ivan luckily was spotted by a Greek Air Force helicopter which extracted from the water on July 10 after 18 hours adrift.
