Athens mayor Kostas Bakoyannis visits Ecumenical Patriarch

The Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis visited the Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Kostas Bakoyannis stressed in his post on social media, “a big thank you to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the warm welcome in the Phanar.

It’s always a special honour to meet him. In these difficult times, we must join forces and shield the unquenchable beacon of Orthodoxy.”
