In the presence of Thanasis Antetokounmpo and George Papagianni, the plane that will transport the national basketball team of Greece to Milan for the Eurobasket 2022 tournament (1-18/9) was presented.
On the plane, on one side, there are the figures of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Georgios Papagiannis and Kostas Papanikolaou, and on the other, Kostas Sloukas, Nick Calathes and Thanasis Antetokounmpo.

The EEC update
The Hellenic Basketball Federation and AEGEAN Airlines have impressively announced the renewal of their sponsorship partnership.
At the event that took place at the technical base of AEGEAN, a new aircraft was unveiled which is decorated with the figures of six players of the National Men's National Team.
Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo, as well as Georgios Papagiannis, Kostas Papanikolaou, Kostas Sloukas and Nick Calathes are the internationals pictured on both sides of the plane. In fact, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Georgios Papagiannis were present and seemed impressed by the aircraft.

The president of EEC, Vangelis Liolios, said: "Along with AEGEAN, the national team will also fly and this makes us really proud."
"I realised how much you in AEGEAN love the national teams," he said, adding: "You are not just a sponsor, you are our national carrier and you are flesh of our flesh."
"We want to return to Greece with this plane in the coming years with distinctions and medals.
"The image of the plane with the Greek players is not a simple one, it symbolises the faith for Greek basketball.
"I hope that as high as this plane flies, Greek basketball and the national team will also fly.
"I want to announce that the Acropolis Tournament will now be called the Aegean Acropolis Tournament. It will be held August 17-19 and we hope the stadium will be full to get strength for the official obligations that follow."
For his part, the president of AEGEAN, Eftichiοs Vassilakis, after receiving from the president of the EEC a jersey with the symbolic number 8, the years of cooperation of the company with the federation, emphasised: "It is our honour to we have been working with the national team for so many years."
"Everything that unites is something we support and everything that shows the best features of the country we want to identify with," he added.

The Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, was also present at the event: "I am happy to be here. The effort made by the new EEC administration is very important and has created a climate of optimism."
"We are happy that Aegean has chosen for another year to be identified with sports. I am sure that soon this plane will bring back home medals to bring the Greeks back to the streets to cry with joy and emotion for the achievements of the National team."
