Greek forestry personnel rescued a injured 4-month young roe deer which is now recovering at the environmental non-governmental organization 'Arcturos' in Xanthi, northern Greece, it was reported on Friday.
The animal was spotted in the woods by Xanthi Forestry Department staff, who found out it had suffered an open fracture wound to his left foreleg.
After receiving first aid by a local vet, "Emilios", as the roe deer was named by its rescuers, is recovering at Arcturos until he is fit to be reintroduced to his natural habitat.
