Nick Kyrgios makes the final of the Citi Open

Nick Kyrgios found stability that had eluded him for a long time as he reached his second straight tournament final for the first time in his career with a 7-6(4), 6-3 victory over Mikael Ymer at the Citi Open on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old Australian is 63rd in the rankings but will move to 37th if he wins the title on Sunday. Kyrgios won in Washington in 2019, the last of his six ATP titles.

Kyrgios. "I didn't play anywhere close to my best. He is very, very fast. I served well but didn't play well. Yesterday I didn't get to sleep till 4 or 5am, felt flat and sore"

Says he will play doubles later with Sock. "I need to work on my returns. Returned poorly tonight".
