The Nigerian Basketball Federation has reportedly mocked Gianni Antetokounmpo and his brothers over their 'Greekness' and participation in the Greek National team.
According to a Skai news report, sarcastic social media posts from the Nigerian side followed the recent appearance of Gianni and his brothers sporting the national colours of Greece.
The social media posts make a sarcastic reference to the time when Nigeria beat Greece in the 2012 Olympic Qualifiers.
The final social media post makes a pointed reference to the 'true' nationality of the Antetokounmpo brothers with what appears to be a post featuring Thanasi wearing the Nigerian national team colours:
"Anyway since you're here, the real Naija boys return August 25th in the World Cup qualifiers. Several Olympians will be returning. Make sure you keep up with us." read the post.
