Hulusi Akar unleashed new threats shortly before Abdul Hamid Khan’s departure to the Mediterranean for drilling.

As reported by SKAI’s correspondent in Turkey, the Turkish Minister of Defence, in an ironic and undiplomatic way, targeted the Greek island of Kastellorizo again.

Speaking at the conference of Turkish ambassadors held in Ankara , he referred to the distance of Kastellorizo from Turkey, saying that it is only 1,950 metres and that the students of military schools can swim there.

In fact, referring to a certain Greek minister, who allegedly said that “if they can, let them come”, he replied “if God wills, this too can happen.”

In an unprecedented challenge, the Minister of Defence of Turkey, Hulusi Akar, proceeded on Tuesday morning, directly threatening Kastellorizo with a “landing” of Turkish soldiers.

Akar, like Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, referred to the supposed “demilitarised” status of Greece’s islands during Turkey ‘s illogical reading of the International Treaties for the islands of the eastern Aegean, while asserting that it is Greece that is pursuing an “expansionist policy”.

Perhaps he forgot it is Turkey currently illegally occupying large swathes of Cyprus, Syria and Iraq…
