An Aston Martin DBX was gifted by Stefanos Tsitsipas to his father, according to a report on a French website. This particular car costs 240,000 euros and its number plates are 24/12, i.e. the date of birth of Apostolos, Stefanos' father and coach.
His father, surprised, could not believe what he was seeing and emotionally hugged Stefanos.
"Stefanos Tsitsipas had directed the delivery of the gift. A hotel valet in Monaco gave the keys to his father. Hidden under a tarpaulin in the colours of the United Kingdom flag was a brand new Aston Martin DBX SUV, which Apostolos Tsitsipas discovered with joy and surprise. Visibly surprised and happy, Apostolos thanked his son once the emotion subsided," the report says.
"Obviously surprised and happy, Apostolos thanked his son, as soon as the emotion subsided", says the article by Orange.
The Greek tennis player owns an expensive Tesla which he has named "Julia" after his mother.
Tsitsipas, who has had Apostolos as his coach and mentor since he was a small child, is currently in Montreal for the Rogers Cup matches.
In fact, given the absence of Djokovic, Nadal, Zverev has many chances of distinction in a tournament where in 2018 he reached the final and lost the cup to Rafa.
