Sakkari returns to #3 in the world, Tsitsipas falls to #7

Maria Sakkari returned to No. 3 in the WTA World Ranking again, passing Paula Badosa. The Greek athlete is now aiming for a good run in Cincinnati, the first one after Roland Garros, which will give her the necessary psychological "boost" ahead of the US Open.

The most impressive change in the top ten of the August 15 WTA rankings was undoubtedly the return of Simona Halep. The Romanian champion, after winning the tournament in Toronto, gained nine places and is now at No 6.

On the contrary - as expected - Stefanos Tsitsipas, after his bad performance in Montreal, lost two places in the World ranking and fell to No. 7, before the tournament in Cincinnati.

The 24-year-old Greek tennis player lost 5th place, but he has a chance to return there immediately.

Casper Rudd is now fifth, while the rise of Daniel Evans (+ 16 places) was also notable, while it is worth mentioning that Nick Kyrgios returned to the top thirty after two years.
