Crete: 22 foreigners arrested at Chania and Heraklion airports for traveling with forged documents

22 foreigners were charged with carrying forged documents at Cretan airports between August 8 to 14 at the airports of Chania and Heraklion.

Specifically, in checks carried out by police officers of the Police Departments of the two airports, the 19 men and 3 women were traveling on forged documents that appeared to be issued by French, Italian, German and Spanish authorities.

They did this in order to depart Greece for Italy, Germany, France and Belgium, Proto Thema reported.

The forged documents were confiscated.
