A Thessaloniki man was shocked to find a one-metre-long snake trapped in the gas tank of his car.
The driver of the vehicle, when he saw the snake, called members of the Animal Rescue and Protection Team, according to ERT. Then, the animal experts raised the car on a ramp in order to free the snake without injury.
Finally, they succeeded and the rescue operation was crowned a success. The reptile was then released into its natural environment.
It is noted that this is an ephios, one of the longest snakes in Greece and Europe, however it is harmless.
