The explanation why they were there is a mystery.
At least 50 Orthodox Christian icons were found scattered along the coast of Evia in the region of Lampsako on Sunday morning.
The icons were discovered by a man walking along the beach. He was suddenly found in the sea dozens of icons of saints washed ashore.
As he describes in evia. gr, reaching at the sea, he was left in shock when he saw the icons in the shallow waters, saying he was amazed as to why and how this had happened.
As he said, he could not believe his eyes when he saw at least 50 images scattered along the beach.
