Visiting UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis discussed the Greek government's initiatives to resolve issues in Greek football (soccer) in collaboration with UEFA and FIFA, at a meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Čeferin thanked the prime minister for Greece's consistent position against a closed European Super League that some large clubs wanted and before the European Union Court of Justice.
During their meeting at Maximos Mansion, Mitsotakis expressed the government's commitment to resolve all outstanding issues and said with UEFA's support it would do so.
Also attending the meeting were other UEFA and Greek sports officials, as well as State Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis.
